Succession Certificate

Succession Certificate is issued in favour of legal heirs of a deceased person for possession of his/her movable assets.

Any one of the legal heirs or their legal counsel can apply for Succession Certificate from NADRA after completing the documentation (For Sindh only)

Following are the basic conditions for eligibility for Succession Certificate:

    • Deceased property/asset should be located in Sindh
    • Deceased Death Certificate issued by Sindh
    • At least one CNIC address of the deceased should be from Sindh or any other document proving deceased as proprietor of any movable or immovable property in Sindh

Following documents are required to initiate the case for issuance of Succession Certificate:

  1. Applicant’s CNIC/NICOP/POC
  2. Deceased CNIC cancelation Certificate issued by NADRA
  3. Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by NADRA
  4. List of legal heirs and copies of their CNIC
  5. Affidavit as per format showing details of assets and legal heirs duly endorsed by oath Commissioner as per their personal law.
  6. Property/Assets Documents
  7. Any other document deemed appropriate by the Authority.

The estimated time for getting Succession Certificate after fulfilling all legal/codal formalities is 14 working days (if no objection from public at large is reported).

One year from the date of initiation if remain idle.

Yes, it can be verified online after payment of Rs. 50/- at identity.nadra.gov.pk

Anyone can object to an advertisement published in writing by visiting the notified office of the Authority, by appearing in person

Letter of Administration establishes legal heirs ownership to immovable asset/property of the deceased.

Any one of the legal heirs or legal counsel can apply for Letter of Administration from NADRA after completing the documentation.

• Deceased Death Certificate issued by Sindh
